Relocating to a new town is fraught with enough problems, without considering the daunting task of shopping for a place for your family in addition to finding a Realtor you can trust. When relocating, you often don't have the time to look at every conceivable area listing. Most likely, you'll have the time to tour a couple dozen, so pare down the list first thing with this advice:

• Arrive into town with two lists: One should be of things you require in your new home. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house can't fulfill your basic needs, we can naturally take it out of the list.
• Know your budget. If you are getting a mortgage, know your pre-approved amount prior to seeing listings so we can eliminate homes which exceed your price range.
• What length of a commute are you willing to make each day to your job and other activities? Traffic in the Monroe area could be different than your current location, so let me know your desired drive-time, and I'll find homes accordingly.

I can send you my best recommendations before you get into town. Or if you've already started your search, let me know what you've found. While virtual tours and photos are invaluable, there's nothing like seeing homes in person. I can schedule any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route. We could see up to 8 or 10 homes in a single day with the proper planning.
